Responsibilities and Duties
Understand and maintain the MA Dept. of Early Education and Care Regulations, NAEYC, and Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Implement Strengthening Families. Reports to owner, and ensure that the program maintains all of the required licenses and accreditation. Expected to lead the staff in a positive working relationship. Maintaining professional relationships with all children and families. Work with owner to plan and implement center wide workshops, celebrations, and activities for children and families. Orient new staff and develop, implement and coordinate staff development and staff training opportunities. Provide regular supervision to the staff, interns, and volunteers.
Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related program of study with working knowledge of EEC and NAEYC. EEC Director I or Director II certified. Minimum of 3 years of admin/teaching experience. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritize efficiently and multi-task. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and have proficient computer skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are essentialInterest in working holistically with families in a program where the philosophy and emphasis is on strong family involvement in all phases of the program.
